The EU and US have sealed a landmark trade agreement — capping tariffs at 15%, securing zero tariffs in key sectors, and boosting Europe’s energy security with $750 billion in US imports through 2028.
The most favourable deal the US has ever offered a partner. Unlike with other trading partners, the 15% cap does not come on top of existing most-favoured-nation tariffs. Instead, it includes them.
