Welcome address by Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank (ECB), on the first day of the 10th ECB Annual Research Conference.
The conference is organised jointly with Stanford’s Hoover Institution and brings together policymakers and academics to discuss how current regulations, supervisory practices, (conventional and unconventional) monetary policy, and technological innovations shape financial fragility. This year’s theme is “The Next Financial Crisis?”.
