On November 7 2025, Commission President Ursula von der Leyen gives a speech at the Energy Transition Thematic Event at the 30th UN Climate Change Conference (COP30).
COP30 will be held from 10-21 November 2025 in Belém, Brazil, bringing parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement.
Representing 27 Member States and more than 440 million citizens, a team of EU negotiators will be on the ground at the conference pushing the international community to strive for bolder action to cut emissions and adapt to the impacts of the climate crisis.
