To ensure long-term peace and security, Europe must take the lead in building and strengthening its defence capabilities. The EU already has three concrete steps in place to achieve this:
1. Supporting and integrating with Ukraine: aligning military and industrial capabilities for shared security.
2. Rapid defence innovation: learning from the frontlines to produce faster, better, cheaper and more repairable equipment.
3. An integrated European defence market: mobilising the power of the European economy to strengthen supply lines between Member States.
