‘Forever chemicals’ are found in masses of products, from non-stick pans to clothing. As their nickname suggests, these per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are hard to get rid of.
US company Allonnia provides a solution to remove PFAS from water using air. As bubbles rise, they separate out more than 99.99% of PFAS molecules.
PFAS destruction technologies have been selected as one of the World Economic Forum’s Top 10 Emerging Technologies of 2026.
