What’s Driving the Gender Gap in the CEO Pipeline?

Source: World Economic Forum (video statements)

There’s a gender gap in the CEO pipeline.

Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer are two of the most common routes to becoming a CEO. But women are less represented in these roles, narrowing the pipeline to the top job.

Women hold around a quarter of C-suite roles and a third of board seats, but only 19% of CEO positions and 5% of board chairs.

Find out what it will take to fix the pipeline – not just the headcount – in our report, Closing the Gender Gap in Senior Leadership, which draws on unique data from LinkedIn and Egon Zehnder: https://wef.ch/leadershipgendergap26
