In an uncertain global landscape, Europe is taking decisive steps to bring clarity and stability to its businesses.
This strategic trade deal ensures access to our largest export market, supports European competitiveness, and benefits consumers on both sides of the Atlantic.
President Ursula von der Leyen met with President Donald Trump to discuss a trade agreement.
Together, the EU and the US are a market of 800 million people and nearly 44 per cent of global GDP.
It’s the biggest trade deal ever.
The European Union and the United States have reached a deal concerning tariffs and trade on 27th July 2025. The agreement concerns the two largest global economies with a market of 800 million people. Now, a single 15% tariff rate for the vast majority of EU exports will bring clarity and certainty to consumers and businesses. The rate covers most sectors, including cars, semiconductors and pharmaceuticals.
