The State of the European Union, or SOTEU, is the roadmap for the European Commission’s work. It sets the direction for 27 countries. Every September the President of the European Commission addresses the European Parliament to take stock and set the priorities for the year ahead.

Despite the energy and fuel crisis this year, there are no risks ahead for the European gas supply this winter. The current capacity is at 62% of storage, enough to pass the winter with no gas shortages.
