By uniting their coal and steel production, six countries began turning that dream into reality. Over the years, more countries joined and the cooperation intensified. Plastic pellets are the second cause of microplastic pollution in seas and oceans!

And because these small plastic particles look like fish eggs, birds eat them with serious consequences for wildlife as much as for human health.

The EU is setting rules to improve how plastic pellets are handled at all stages of the supply chain.

Goal: reducing unintentional releases of pellets into the environment by up to 74%!
