The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill Committee was appointed to consider the safeguards and procedures contained in the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill by hearing evidence including from professional bodies, those with professional experience of coronial services, and ministers.
Over two sessions, the committee heard from the bill’s sponsors Lord Falconer of Thoroton and Kim Leadbeater MP, plus health care professionals from the Royal Colleges of Physicians, GPs and Nursing.

On 12 April 2025, Parliament was recalled to fast-track the passage of the Steel Industry (Special Measures) Act 2025. The government has used the act to direct the operations of British Steel Ltd, which was in danger of collapse.
This debate fulfils a government commitment made during the bill’s passage to have a debate on the act within six months of it being passed.

The Crime and Policing Bill is a broad score government bill that, among other things, seeks to tackle anti-social behaviour, knife crime, violence against women and girls, theft, child sexual abuse, other sexual offending and youth radicalisation.
