The 5 job sectors most exposed to AI

Source: World Economic Forum (video statements)

An entry-level job is usually the first stepping stone in a career. Junior employees often do routine and repetitive but crucial tasks.

But AI is upending that paradigm. Many of the tasks performed by these workers can be augmented or automated. Today 37% of young workers around the world are in roles with medium to high exposure to AI-driven disruption.

Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2026

Source: World Economic Forum (video statements)

AI, clean energy, biotech – the technologies defining the next decades are already here.

The bigger question is: can we turn them into better jobs, stronger economies and new opportunities?

That’s the focus of the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2026, taking place from June 23–25 in Dalian, China.

Known as “Summer Davos”, AMNC26 will bring together over 1,700 participants from business, government, science, academia and civil society under the theme Innovating at Scale.

Together, participants will take on some of the biggest questions of the moment: What’s next for trade and industry? Where is China’s economy headed? How can new technologies create real value? And how can growth generate more opportunities for the next generation? They’ll also look at how the energy transition can help drive competitiveness in a rapidly changing world.

Livestreamed sessions from the meeting will be available on the Forum’s website and YouTube channel.
