đšJustice Department CHARGES 11 ILLEGAL ALIENS Among 15 in $1.4M Benefit Fraud Crackdown in Massachusetts
âThese cases highlight a broader, deeply troubling pattern: the exploitation of Americaâs safety-net by illegal aliens,â said Assistant Attorney General Colin McDonald. âFraud by illegal aliens carries real and substantial costs to American taxpayers and places enormous strain on our public benefits systems. The Fraud Division remains laser-focused on rooting out fraud â whether committed by illegal aliens or anyone else â and recovering money wrongfully taken from the American people.â

What does the factory of the future actually look like?
In this documentary, we travel to Viet Nam, TĂŒrkiye and the United States to step inside three leading manufacturing facilities recognized by the World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network.
From AI-assisted production and workforce training to renewable energy and resource efficiency, we explore how companies including Foxconn Industrial Internet (FII), @beko and @ericsson are rethinking the way factories operate.
What we found wasn’t just new technology â it was people learning, adapting and helping shape the future of manufacturing.

Think drones are harmless fun. Not always. The government can establish temporary flight restrictions around special events to keep the public safe.

âWomen are disappearing from peace and mediation processes. I am sure this is something we will all come to regret,â UN Women Executive Director told the Security Council.
Briefing the Council during an open debate on women, peace and security (WPS) titled âPeace is decided with women: Emerging from conflict by enhancing their participation,â Sima Sami Bahous, Executive Director of UN Women, said, âWhen we pursue peace without womenâs voicesâwithout women at the table, leading alongside menâour efforts become compromised, fragile, and ultimately not serious.â
She also noted that the UN led a âmereâ three peace processes last year, comparing to 14 peace processes 15 years ago. âThe path to genuine gender equality in the pursuit of peace matters far less when the UNâs role is increasingly being sidelined, when this multilateral system is under immense pressure,â Bahous said.
Two women civil society representatives also briefed the Council. Leymah Gbowee, Nobel Peace Laureate said, âWomen are not victims to be protected alone. They are leaders, mediators, negotiators and architects of peace.â
Kaavya Asoka, Executive Director of NGO Working Group on Women, Peace and Security presented findings of a survey carried by the coalition among womenâs rights activists. According to the findings, the main barriers for womenâs rights activists in their participation are unbridled militarization and conflict; flagrant violations of international law; deeply rooted patriarchal norms in their societies, laws and institutions; male-dominated political structures that exclude women from peacemaking; unprecedented attacks on womenâs rights, including sexual and gender-based violence and retaliation against women for participating in public and political life; lack of funding; and little political will or accountability for those perpetuating their exclusion. âIn other words, they reinforced what women civil society have been telling you for 25 years,â Asoka said.
Colombian Minister of Foreign Affairs Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio chaired the meeting, which is a signature event of Colombiaâs June Council presidency. She said, âColombia presides today drawing on the experience of a country that has learned a fundamental lesson: sustainable peace is not possible without the full, effective, meaningful and safe participation of women, young women, adolescents and girls.â
She added, âColombia urges States to develop and implement national action plans and participatory peace processes. Because nothing about us, without us. Nothing without us when it concerns our peace, our security and our rights.â
Speaking to reporters before the Councilâs debate she urged all States âto fully implement Resolution 1325 and subsequent Security Council resolutions on Women, Peace and Security through concrete and verifiable actions.â
The energy transition is underway. But progress around the world is uneven. Which countries are furthest ahead? And which are catching up the fastest?
The Energy Transition Index benchmarks the progress of 120 countries towards a more secure, equitable and sustainable energy future. Familiar names are at the top this year, but there is notable progress elsewhere, as Roberto Bocca, Head of the Forumâs Centre for Energy and Materials, explains.
