Each year, the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship recognizes and supports the world’s leading social innovators for their collective efforts in creating a just, equitable and sustainable world for all.
Join us for the 2026 Schwab Foundation Social Innovation Awards ceremony to celebrate this year’s outstanding changemakers.
AI’s rapid growth is fuelling a trillion-dollar wave of data centre investment and a race to secure cheap, clean and abundant energy. As developers chase hydro, nuclear and geothermal sources, a new energy infrastructure is taking shape.
How will this race for power redefine AI’s next phase and what new business approaches will emerge to sustain it?
With competing interests from the West to the East, the balance of influence and power in the Caucasus and Central Asia is being redrawn. Ambitious infrastructure plans and emerging trade corridors intersect, with heightened competition over resources.
How can the region make the most of these expanding routes and strengthen its role within them?

The Scientific Working Group on DNA Analysis Methods (SWGDAM) and other bodies have published guidelines that specify empirical studies to be performed to assess reliability, identify limitations and develop suitable usage conditions for probabilistic genotyping systems. In this installment of the web series Probabilistic Genotyping of Evidentiary DNA Typing Results, we discuss the intent of each validation requirement and provide examples of their execution, as well as resulting data and how they can be used to develop standard operating procedures within the forensic DNA testing laboratory.
This webinar is part 5 of of the Probabilistic Genotyping Of Evidentiary DNA Typing Results Webinar Series and was presented by the NIJ Forensic Technology Center of Excellence on May 29, 2019.

Infrastructure, food systems and natural resources are all affected by climate change. While nature loss poses significant economic and environmental risks, nature-positive models could unlock trillions for the world’s economy.
How can we sustain, and even augment, growth while also remaining within the planet’s boundaries?

AI systems are advancing faster than expected and the next few years could redefine what we mean by intelligence. Will progress continue through scale alone, or are new breakthroughs in algorithms, data and agentic interaction needed to reshape the path ahead?
As models begin to learn, plan and act in digital and physical environments, what kind of intelligence are we creating and how will it shape humanity?
The rise of agentic AI is opening new possibilities for shared intelligence to inform foresight and accelerate action in the fight against modern slavery. Yet persistent silos between companies, governments and stakeholders continue to limit collective impact.
How can AI-enabled approaches connect insights, break down barriers and generate actionable intelligence to combat forced labour in global supply chains?
In an era where competition among rivals can quickly veer towards consolidation into giants, founders and entrepreneurs can struggle to align their vision with strategy while also scaling for growth.
