The Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Ms Nonceba Mhlauli, delivered a keynote address at the 2026 Unilever TVET College Cook-Off Challenge Grand Finale in La Lucia Ridge, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
The event celebrated the talent, innovation and culinary excellence of TVET college students while promoting skills development and entrepreneurship. Addressing the finalists, Deputy Minister Mhlauli encouraged young people to embrace vocational education, seize opportunities within the hospitality sector, and use their skills to create economic opportunities, build sustainable livelihoods, and contribute to South Africa’s economic growth.
