UN Global Advocate Joseph Gordon-Levitt called for greater international coordination on artificial intelligence, drawing parallels with the global response to nuclear technology after the Second World War. Speaking at the UN, he said governments must work together on rules and safeguards for AI to ensure the technology serves people, protects children and is developed with human rights, trust and accountability at its core.
