Russia’s attacks on Ukraine have reached a new ‘horrifying’ level. In a single week, more than 100 civilians were killed and over 400 injured – and each month this year has brought higher casualties than the same month in any of the previous three years.
Briefing the UN Security Council, Mohamed Khaled Khiari, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs stressed that all attacks on civilians, wherever they occur, violate international law and must end immediately.
