His Excellency President Cyril Ramaphosa arrives at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, Republic of India, where he is received by His Excellency Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of the 18th BRICS Leaders’ Summit.
The Summit takes place from 12–13 September 2026 under India’s Chair-ship, guided by the theme, “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Security”, with Leaders addressing priorities including people-centred development, trade and investment, financial and institutional cooperation, and reform of global institutions.

The Memorial Service, led by government, comes as the nation confronts the devastating loss of women whose bodies were discovered in and around Ekurhuleni, with investigations continuing into the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
