There’s only 1 week to go until the State Opening of Parliament. On Wednesday 13 May, His Majesty the King will read the King’s Speech from the Throne in the House of Lords chamber. Although the King reads the Speech, it is written by the government and sets out its agenda for the new parliamentary session.
